Hey guys, today we're going to take a look at the adidass power lift trainer shoe. Best parkour shoes for me this shoe is a budget friendly weightlifting shoe targeyed more towards beginner to intermdiate weightlifting .
the first feature i want to cover is the heel on this shoe as it has been the topic of discussion since the shoe was released in 2011. the heel is made of EVA- A pplymer that is often used in shoes for its durability, crack resistance and waterproof properties most EVA soles are soft, however the heel of the power trainer is pretty dense. My guesss is it is made from a mixture of EVA and resin as you can see, give toward the edges but when you move to the center of the shoes, where there is more mass, you cannot compress the heel. well, at least not with your fingers.
so to answer all the questions about whether or not the heel is too soft for lifting, the answer is no - to a certain dgeree. Certainly if you are squatting or dead lifting more tnah 400LBS, you may need invest in a more seious shoe . And if you have a tendensy to rock onto the outer edges of the shoe instead of standing flat, you'll feel somme compression in the hell . So take that into account before you make a decision on these. One last thibg to note aboute the bottom of the shoes is the sole has a very good grip and also shares the old ironwork 3 design. this means the shoes will modt likely fit the same way the Ironwork .
Moving on to the evterior of the shoe, you have your basic synthetic leather upper with a single hook and loop strap. this model is the Adidas radiant gold and white color, and is more of neon Orange which actually looks better in real life than it did in the photos. The interior of the shoe has a fairly stiff insert and a noticeable heel cup.the Toe box is a little narrow, which is typical of adidass parkour shoes. the shoe is also very stiff at the toe and has a tendency to pinch if you cam up on the ball of your foot. I also found the mid-arch to be very marrow so if you have low arches this shoe may be a bit uncomfortable to wear.
the one complaint I do have about the shoes is that the laces are way to long finally, I don't recommend these shoe for Olympic weight lifting for tow simple reasons. one - they are too stiff in the forefoot section and Two - the heel is unsuitable for a lot
of foot movemnet. these shoes are designed for your bassic squat, dead lift, bench and pressing movvements and that's what they should be usd for . for Adidas intended thes to be used for Olympic lifting they would have called them the Adidas OlynTrainers, not power lift. and that way i like play parkour with this shoe that's about it for this review.
I found your website perfect for my needs. allowed me to really understand this topic.
